ItisnormallyidentiedasUSB:[nameofmemory

6Allowthecomputertoboot.
7ObservethattheNortonGhost8utilitystarts
automatically.
8ClickOkintheNortonGhost8start-updialog.
2ClickLocal→Disk→Toimage.
3Choosethelocalsourcedrive.Thisisthediskpartitionto
becopiedtothebackupdisk.
Click2toselectthelargestpartition.Thesmallpartition
istheUSBmemorydevice.
4ClickOk.
5ChoosewhichfolderontheUSBmemorysticktoholdthe
data.
IfyouusethefactoryUSBmemorydevice,folderBackup
hasbeenpreparedforthisuse.
6Enterpreferrednamefortheimagele.
7ClickSave.
8Inthenextdialog,clickHightousemaximumle
compression.
9Inthenextdialog,clickY estoproceedwiththeimagele
creation.
10Waitforthebackupprocesstonish.Oncecompleted,
removetheUSBmemorystick,andrestartthecomputer.
Howtorestorefromabackupimageusing
the’NortonGhost8’utility
ThisprocedureisusedwhenyouwishtorestoretheSH90
softwarefromapre-madebackuplecontainingyourentire
installation.Thebackuplemayeitherbegeneric,oritmaybe
custommadetotyoursystem.Theapplicationusedtorestore
fromthebackupisNortonGhost8.
Ifyourestoreyoursystemfromagenericimagele,youmust
bothchangetheWindowslicense,andactivateit,beforeyoucan
usetheSH90.Y oumustalsoreinstalltheSH90software.
1BootthecomputerfromtheUSBmemorydevice.
