TheVariableRangeMarker(VRM)(D)consistsofanadjustable
rangeringwithrangeread-out.Itcanbeusedforanytypeof
distancemarkingrelativetothevessel.Toadjustthemarker,
locatethecursoronthemarkerring,presstheSelectonthe
OperatingPanel,andmovethecursorwiththeSelectbutton
depressed.Whenthebuttonisreleased,thevariablerange
markerradiuswillbelockedtothenewposition.
TheCompassCard(E)isshownasshortyellowlinesfor
every10thdegreealongtheoutermostcircleofthesonarview.
Atrianglesymbolindicateseach90thdegree.Ithaslabels
indicatingNorth,East,SouthandWest.Itisupdatedwhenthe
headingofownshiphaschangedmorethan1degree.
TheVerticalRing(F)showstheselectedrangeofthevertical
sliceasafullcircleinthehorizontalpresentation.Thisisan
indicationofwhichdistanceatargetshouldbepresentedinthe
verticalview.TheV erticalRingwillonlybevisibleinthose
modesthatsupportaverticalslice.
