TheScienticOutputisdesignedforresearchpurposes.When
activated,thefollowingdataareavailableonanEthernet(LAN)
output:

•Ownshipdata
•Geardata
Thescienticoutputoptionmayalsoincludesoftwarefora
ScienticDataLogger.
Peripheralequipment
TheSimradSH90requiresconnectiontoaspeedlogandacourse
gyro.Aninaccuratelogorgyroinputwillcauseinaccurate
indicationofthevesselandtargetmovements.
Inadditiontologandgyro,thefollowingperipheralequipment
canbeconnectedtothesonar:
•A(D)GPSmaybeconnectedtothesonartoestablishthe
vesselspositionandprovidecursorandmarkerlatitudeand
longitude.
•ASimradcatchmonitoringsystemwillprovidethenetdepth
indigitsandbarsonthecatchdatapresentation.
•Simradtrawlinstrumentation:
–SimradFS70,FS900andFS3300:Thetrawlwillbe
displayedincorrectdepth.
–SimradITI:Thetrawlwillbedisplayedincorrectsize,
depth,distanceandbearing.
•Acurrentmetersystemwillindicatethecurrentspeedand
directionforuptothreedifferentdepthsinthesonarpicture.
•Aradiobuoysystem(GPStype)willprovidethegeographical
positionofthebuoy(s)inthesonarpicture.
