Beforeyoupowerupthesonar,makesurethatyouhavesufcient
waterdepthtolowerthetransducer!
Whenthesonarisnotinuse
Toprotectthesonarwhenitisnotinuse,westronglyadviceyou
tohoistthetransducer,eventhoughyoumaynotswitchoffthe
power.Innarroworshallowwatersthisisveryimportant,since
youmay-inworstcase-runthetransducerintothebottom.
Thiswilldamagethetransducerandthetransducershaft,and
extensiverepairisrequired.
Whenyoudockthevessel
Itisveryimportantthatthesonarsystemremainss
w i t c h e d o f f

totransmitpowerwhenitisinopenair,itwillbedamaged.

thetransmitpowerswitchedoff.
