TheBearingparameterdialogopenswhenyouclicktheBearing
buttonintheHorizontalmenu.
Thehorizontalbearingoftheaudiochannelisnormally
controlledfromtheOperatingPanel.Theselectedbearing
isshownwithacontinuouswhitelinepointingoutfromthe
transducerposition.Thislinecanbetrainedmanuallyor
automaticallyinanyposition.
Bearingdialogoptions
•Left/Rightarrow:Clickoncetotraintheaudiochannelone
degree.Thecurrentbearingisshownabove.
•SearchStep:Clicktoopenanewparameterdialogthat
allowsyoutoselectthesearchstepangle.Thisvaluedenes
howmanydegreesthesearchbeamshallmoveforeach
transmissionintheAutoSearchmode.(►SearchStepon
page159)
•SearchSector:Clicktoopenanewparameterdialogthat
allowsyoutoselecttheactiveaudiosearchsector.Thissector
canbeadjustedbetween22and360degreesdirectlywiththe
increase/decreasebuttonfunction,orbythetwobuttonsin
theSearchSectorparameterdialog.Thesearchsectorlimits
areshownontheouterpartoftheechocirclewithtwowhite

•Absolute/Relative:ClickAbsolutetomakethesearchsector
relativetotruenorth.ClickRelativetomakethesearchsector
relativetothevessel’sbow.
•Manual/Auto:InManualmode,theaudiochannelcanbe
trainedcontinuouslyineitherdirectionbypressingthetwo
arrowbuttonsintheTraineldontheOperatingPanel.In
Automode,thesonarwillautomaticallyperformsearchwithin
theselectedsearchsectorusingthestepsdened.
