Thissectionprovidesadetaileddescriptionoftheparameter
dialogsusedbytheSimradSH90sonarsystem.
ThechapterMenustructuregivesadescriptionofthe
menusystemcongurationwithreferencestomoredetailed
descriptionsofallthemenu.Anyselectionsyoudointhemenus
willbringuptheparametersavailableforthechosensetting.
TheAlphabeticallistofparametersisausefulaidtonda
descriptionofaparticularparameterofallavailableparameters
incorporatedintheSimradSH90sonarsystem.

Whenaparameterisselected,theavailablechoicesareshownin
thedialogbelowthemenu.Thesettingisthenmadeusingthe
availablebuttonsorlists.Severallevelsarefrequentlyusedto
selecttheparameters.Notethat:
1Inmanycasesyouwillnotneedtoopentheparameter
dialog,asyoucancontrolthesettingsdirectlyonthemenu
button.
2Theparameterisselectedandactivatedbythesonaronce
itishighlightedinthedialog.Theoperationalchangescan
thusbeinvestigatedfromwithinthedialogwithoutclosing
it.
3TheClosebuttonwillalwaysclosethedialog.
4TheHelpbuttonwillalwaysprovideshort-formcontext
sensitivehelp.Thishelptextwillappearontopofthe
parameterdialog,andyouneedtoclickClosetoreturn.In
thehelpwindowyoucanalsoclickFreetoaccesstofull
interactivemanual.Thismaynotbeavailableinallmodes,
asitwillblocktheviewofthesonarechoes.Oncethe
interactivemanualhasbeenopened,youneedtoclickFree
onemoretimetoreducethelargehelpwindowbacktothe
short-formpresentation.IfyouclickCloseinthelargehelp
window,thesamelargewindowwillautomaticallyappear
nexttimeyouclickHelpinaparameterdialog.Formore

Themenusettingsmarkedwithanasterisk,indicatethenormal
settingwhichperformwellundernormalconditions.Ifonegot
lostinthemenusettings,aDefaultSettingsfunctionwillbring
