ThepurposeoftheSimradPIHeight/Depthdualsensoristoachieveaccurate
measurementsofboththewaterdepthandthedistancefromthesensoranddown
tothebottom.
ThePIHeight/Depthsensorthuscontainsbothapressuresensortomeasurethewater
depth,andasmallechosoundertomeasuretheheightabovethebottom.ThePI
Height/Depthsensorhasbeendevelopedtobeusedonbothbottomandpelagictrawls.
Thesensorisnormallyinstalledontheheadropeorfootrope.
Threesensorversionsareavailable.Thesearesetupformaximumdepth300m,600
mor1000m.Thedepthrangeisxedbythefactory,andcannotbechangedinthePI
Conguratorutility.
Note
Thisisa“dual”sensor .ItwillseizetwocommunicationchannelsonthePI50.
