PITwinSpreadsensorview
ThepurposeoftheSimradPITwinSpreadsensorsystemistomeasurethedistances
betweenthetwotrawlopeningsonadualbottomorpelagictrawl.APITwinSpread
sensorismountedontheportdoor,whiletwoPIRemotesensorsareplacedonthe
centreclumpandonthestarboarddoor.
Thethreesensorscommunicateusingspecialtransverseacousticlinks.Usingtheselinks
thePITwinSpreadsensormeasurestheexactdistancebetweenthethreesensors.
