Howtoghtinterference
Interferenceisnormallyidentiedinthesensorviewsbyreadings“jumping”upand
down,anddeviatingfromtheirexpectedvalues.Sometimesyoumayevenbeprovided
withsteadyreadingsthatareobviouslywrong.
Toghtthisdisturbance,youcanadjusttheDetectionThreshold(DT)parameterprovided
bytheReceiverdialog.

Ifyouexperiencepoorreceptionwiththesensorsinthesea,trytoincrease
thedetectionthresholduntilthedatareceptionappearscompletelyrandom.
Then,decreasetheparameteruntilyouhavestabledatareception.Ifyouhave
interferenceproblemswhilenosensorshavebeendeployed,trytodecreasethe
detectionthresholduntilyouhaveastabledatareception.
cForlongrangesaboveapproximately1500meters:
Initially,usethesamestrategyasfornormalrange.However,ifthoseactions
arenotenoughtoprovidestablereadings,trytosetthedetectionthreshold
to8.Ifyourvessel’sselfnoiseandinterferenceislowerthannormal,you
mayachievearangeenhancementbyusingthisvalue.Ifinterferencecause
problems,trytoincreasethedetectionthresholdvalueuntiltheinterference
disappears,whilestillabletoreceivedatafromthesensors.
