3Attachthechargingclampstothesensorasfollows:
aConnecttheRedclamptothepositive(+)fasteninglug
bConnecttheBlackclamptothenegative()fasteninglug
Oneverysensorthepolarityofthefasteninglugsareengravedonthesensorbody
using+andcharacters.
4Whenthechargerisconnectedtothesensor,checkthechargerlamps.
Afterafewseconds,thelamponthechargerwillchangefromyellowtoorange/red.
Thismeansthatfastchargingisinprogress.
Whenthebatteryinthesensorhasreached90%capacitythelampwillchange
fromorange/redtogreenwithshortyellowashes.Thismeansthattopcharging
isinprogress.
Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,thelampturnssteadygreen.Tricklechargingis
nowactive.Youcansafelyallowtricklechargingforlongperiodsoftime.
HowtousetheSimradPIMiniCharger
WARNING
Chargingasensoratsubzerotemperaturemaydevelopexplosive
gasesrepresentingapotentialdanger.Simradassumesnoliability
forimpropercharging,ortheuseofotherchargersthanthose
approvedbyus.

YoumaychargetheL-TypePIsensorstoo,butduetothesmallchargecurrent,this
willnotbeefcient.
Thechargerisonlyequippedwithasingleindicatorlamp,thislampwillhoweverchange
colourtoshowthestatusofthechargingprocess.
Yellow:Thechargerisconnectedto230V ac,ithasnotbeenconnectedtothesensor,
anditisreadyforuse.
Orange/Red:Thechargerisconnectedtoasensor,andfastchargingisinprogress.
Greenwithshortyellowashes:Topchargingisinprogress.
Green:Tricklechargingisinprogress.
