3Attachthechargingclampstothesensorasfollows:
aConnecttheRedclamptothepositive(+)fasteninglug
bConnecttheBlackclamptothenegative(–)fasteninglug
Oneverysensorthepolarityofthefasteninglugsareengravedonthesensorbody
using+and–characters.
4Whenthechargerisconnectedtothesensor,checkthechargerlamps.
Afterafewseconds,thelamponthechargerwillchangefromyellowtoorange/red.
Thismeansthatfastchargingisinprogress.
Whenthebatteryinthesensorhasreached90%capacitythelampwillchange
fromorange/redtogreenwithshortyellowashes.Thismeansthattopcharging
isinprogress.
Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,thelampturnssteadygreen.Tricklechargingis
nowactive.Youcansafelyallowtricklechargingforlongperiodsoftime.
HowtousetheSimradPIMiniCharger
WARNING
Chargingasensoratsubzerotemperaturemaydevelopexplosive
gasesrepresentingapotentialdanger.Simradassumesnoliability
forimpropercharging,ortheuseofotherchargersthanthose
approvedbyus.

sensorscanbecharged:

•PICatch
•PIDepth
•PITemperature
•PIRemote(smallversion)
•PIMini-Rresponder
YoumaychargetheL-TypePIsensorstoo,butduetothesmallchargecurrent,this
willnotbeefcient.
Thechargerisonlyequippedwithasingleindicatorlamp,thislampwillhoweverchange
colourtoshowthestatusofthechargingprocess.
•Yellow:Thechargerisconnectedto230V ac,ithasnotbeenconnectedtothesensor,
anditisreadyforuse.
•Orange/Red:Thechargerisconnectedtoasensor,andfastchargingisinprogress.
•Greenwithshortyellowashes:Topchargingisinprogress.
•Green:Tricklechargingisinprogress.
