Batteryhandling
Operationaltimeandservicelifeofthesensor’sNiCdbatterydependsonproperuseand
regularcharging.Observethefollowingprecautions,asthesewillhaveaninuenceon
thebatteryperformance.
•Observethechargingtemperatures.
•Chargesensorsregularly.Avoiddrainingthesensorbatterycompletelybefore
charging.
•Chargethesensorbatterybeforestorage,andatthree-monthintervalsunderlong-term
storage.
•Operationallifemaybeinitiallyreducedafterlong-termstorageorchargingfora
longtime.
•Sensorsarenotdamagedbybeingleftattachedtoachargerforseveraldays.
However,donotstorethesensorforextendedperiodsundercharge.
Werecommendthatawoodenboxismadetokeepthesensorinasecureplaceduring
chargingandstorage.Makeopeningsinthebottomtodrainforseawater.
