Colourdisplayinstallation

Differentcommercialcolourdisplaysareavailable.Forinstallationandoperationofthe

chosendisplayunit,refertothemanualsuppliedwiththeunit.

1Beforeyoustartinstallation,checkthatallthefollowingrequirementsaremet.

•Thedisplaymustbelocatedsothatitisbestprotectedfromglarewhichreduces

readability.

•Thedisplaymaybemountedinapanel,onthedesktoporbulkhead,oroverhead.

•Makesurethatadequateventilationisavailabletoavoidoverheating.

•Thecompasssafedistancemustbeallowedforwhenplanningtheunit’slocation.

•Makesurethattheinstallationallowsforthephysicalmovementsandforces

normallyexperiencedonavessel.

•Makesurethatenoughspaceisprovidedformaintenancework.

2Installthecolourdisplayasdescribedtheapplicabledocumentationprovidedwith

theunit.

3Connectthecables.

Note

Whenyouconnectthecables,makesurethattheyareallsecured,andableto

withstandthevibrationandmovementsofthevessel.

ReceiverUnitinstallation

ThePI50ReceiverUnitishousedinasmallcabinet.Allnecessaryinputandoutput

socketseasilyavailable.Theunitispoweredbyasmallexternalpowersupply.

TheReceiverUnitprovidesthefollowinginterfaces:

•SeriallinecabletotheProcessorUnit.

•Onehydrophone

•Externalpowersupply
