PI50MarineComputerinstallation
ThePI50MarineComputerisanindustrialcomputer.Itissmall,rugged,andcontainsno
movingparts.Thismeansthatfans,harddisksandCDdrivesareomitted.Thecomputer
providesEthernetsockets,RS-232seriallines,andanumberofUSBconnectors.The
harddiskisreplacedwithasolidstatedrive(SSD).

Asmallexternalpowersupplyisprovided,andmust
beplacednearthecomputer.

ThePI50MarineComputerdoesnotcontainanyfans.
Itwillbeverywarm,evenduringnormaloperation.
Twobracketsandeightboltsenclosed.Mountthetwobracketsatthebottomofthe
computer.
1Locatethemostconvenientlocationforthecomputer.
Inordertoallowforfuturemaintenance,westronglyadvicethatyoumountthe
computerwithitsrearpanelavailableforimmediateaccess.
Note
Makesurethatyoucanaccessboththerearandfrontsideofthecomputerafterit
hasbeeninstalled.

3Markthelocationofthesixholesprovidedonthetwobrackets.
4Mounttheunitusingsixboltsorscrews.
5Findasuitablelocationforthepowersupply.
6Securethepowersupplywithwirestraps,velcro,brackets,oranyothermeans
appropriate.
7Connectthecables.
Note
Whenyouconnectthecables,makesurethattheyareallsecured,andableto
withstandthevibrationandmovementsofthevessel.
