IfyoupowerdownthePI50bymeansofthecomputerswitchyoumaydamagethe
softwareapplicationandtheinterfaceparameterstoexternaldevices.
Systemdescription
TheSimradPI50isdesignedfortheprofessionalsherycommunityimplementingthe
latestinnovations.Thecatchmonitoringsystemallowsyoutostayinfullcontrolofthe
gearanditsbehaviour.Thesystemisdesignedtobeequallyusefulforallshingtypes.
Bottomtrawlers,pelagictrawlers,purseordanishseiners-whateverkindofgearyou
use,allvesselscantakeadvantageofthefunctionalityprovidedbythePI50.
TheSimradPI50comprisesthefollowingunits:
•Colourdisplay
•ProcessorUnit(ThePI50MarineComputermaybeprovided)
•SensorReceiver
•Hydrophone
Thehydrophoneismountedunderthevessel’shull.
Thesystemfurthercomprisesanumberofsmallandrobustsensorsmeasuringthe
conditionsonyourshinggear.TheSimradPI50canreceiveinformationfromsix
sensorssimultaneously.
Oneormoresensorbatterychargersarealsorequired.
Thesensorsarepoweredbybuilt-inrechargeablebatteries.Theyarehousedintitanium
casings,anddesignedusingadvancedshockabsorbingmaterials.Theinformation
collectedbythesensorsaresentthroughthewatertothehydrophonebymeansofcoded
soundwaves.TheSensorReceiverampliesanddecodestheinformation,convertsitto
digitalformat,andsendsittotheProcessorUnit(computer).Thecomputerinterpretsthe
information,andnallypresentsittoyou.
