IftheES70/PI50systemisprovidedwithacomputer,itisdeliveredwithallnecessary
softwareinstalled,conguredandtested.Ifyouuseyourowncomputer,youmustdo
thisyourself.
SoftwareupgradesareusefulifyourES70/PI50fails,andyoususpectasoftwareerror.
AnupgradeisalsorequiredwhenevertheES70/PI50softwareismodied.
Tocheckwhichsoftwareversionyouhave,observetheAboutdialogopenedfromthe
Displaymenu.
Ifyouexperienceproblemsduringasoftwareinstallationorupgrade,writedownthe
installationparameters.RemovetheES70/PI50softwareentirely,thenreinstallfrom
scratch.

1Powerupthecomputer.
2InserttheES70/PI50CD-ROM.
IfyourcomputerisnotttedwithaCDorDVDdrive,copythelesfromtheCDto
aUSBmemorystick.
3Observethattheinstallationprogramopens.
Iftheinstallationprogramdoesnotstartautomatically,usealemanagerto
accesstheCDorUSBmemorystick.Double-clickontheSetup.exeletostart
theinstallation.
4Allowtheinstallationprogramtorun.Followtheinstructionsprovided.
5Oncetheinstallationhasbeencompleted,double-clicktheprogramicononthe
desktoptostarttheapplication.
WhentheES70/PI50starts,youmayseeadialogrequestingpermissiontoupgrade
thermwareonthetransceiver.Thishappensifthermwareonthetransceiver
isolderthanthermwareprovidedasapartoftheES70/PI50software.Since
functionalityontheES70/PI50maydependonthermwareinthetransceiver,click
Yestoupgradethetransceiver.
