ThepurposeoftheBottomDetectordialogistodenetheupperandlowerdepth

limitsmostlikelytobeusedduringtheES70operation.Inthisdialog,youcanalso

modifythesettingforBottomBacksteptochangethebottomdetectionrelativeto

thebottomecho.

3IncreasetheBottomBacksteplevel(makeitmorepositive).

Atypicalsettingwouldbeapproximately-30dB,butyouwillneedtoexperiment

tondthebestvaluefortheoperationalfrequencyandthecurrentbottomand

seaconditions.

TheES70willnowprovideincreasedpenetration,andshowyouadetectedbottom

thatisslightlydeeperthantheactualvalue.Thiswillcausetheatshtobeshown

asiftheywerelocated“above”thebottom.
