PoweringuptheES70

Purpose

ThisprocedureexplainshowtopoweruptheSimradES70.

ThisprocedureassumesthatyouhaveconnectedoneormoretransceivertotheES70.If

thisisnotthecase,observetherelevantstart-upprocedureinchapterInstallation.

Procedure

1Verifythatthetransceiver(s)areswitchedon.

TheGeneralPurposeTransceiver(GPT)isnotprovidedwithanon/offswitch.

Unlessadedicatedsolutionhasbeenprovidedduringtheinstallationtofacilitate

poweron/off,thetransceiver(s)arepermanentlypoweredup.However,iftheES70

hasnotbeenusedforalongerperiodoftime,thepowertothetransceiver(s)may

havebeendisconnected.

2Powerupthecolourdisplay.

Ifrequired,refertotheinstructionsprovidedbythedisplaymanufacturer.

3PoweruptheES70computer.

Waitfortheoperatingsystemtostartup.

4Double-clicktheES70icononthedesktoptostarttheprogram.

5WaitwhiletheES70programstartsonthecomputer.

6Chooseusersettings.

Duringtheprogramload,adialogappearstoletyouchoosefromthecurrentuser

settingsavailableontheES70.

Thedialogisonlyvisibleafewseconds.Youdonotneedtomakeachoicehere.

YoucanselectusersettingatanytimebymeansoftheUserSettingsdialogon

theMainmenu.
