data).Usetheseeldsandyourown
knowledgeofthedatacommunication
toinvestigatethetelegrams.
NotethatthePortMonitordialog
isatoolfordebuggingpurposes.It
isneitherrequirednorintendedfor
normaloperationoftheES70.

1Txdata
Thistextwindowdisplaysthe
datacommunicationtransmitted
out
fromtheES70.
2Rxdata
Thistextwindowisusedtodisplaythedatacommunicationreceived
bytheES70
fromexternalsensors(measuringdevices)orperipheralsystems.
3Autoupdate
Whenthisboxisselected,theeldisconstantlyupdatedwithnewinformation.If
youwishtofreezetheinformationforfurtherinvestigation,deselecttodisablethe
automaticupdate.
4Hexdisplay
Whenthisboxisselected,theinformationinthetexteldisshowninhexadecimal
format.
5Clear
Thisbuttonclearsthetexteldtoallowafreshstreamofcommunicationdata.
6Currentport
IfyouwishtochangeyourattentiontoadifferentserialorLANport,youcan
choosethecommunicationporthereinsteadofreturningtotheI/OSetupdialog.
7Alwaysontop
ThisfunctionplacesthePortMonitordialogonthetopofallotherdialogsand
systempresentationsonyourdesktop.
