ormaximumdepths.
Thedepthalarmsprovided
bytheSimradES70fulls
therequirementsmadeby
theInternationalMaritime
organization(IMO)for
navigationalpurposes.
Analarmwillbetriggeredif:
athecurrentdepthis
shallower
thanthe
minimum
alarmdepthyou
havechosen,or
bthecurrentdepthisdeeper
thanthemaximum alarm
depthyouhavechosen
Adedicatedfunctionallowsyoutodisablethedepthalarmsalltogether,whileanother
optionwillenableordisableanaudiblealarm.
Whenthealarmistriggered,theDepthAlarmseldchangescolour
tored.Thewarningisalsoprovidedasamessageinthemessaging
systemand-ifenabled-asanaudiosignal.
Toacknowledgethealarm,clicktheDepthAlarmseldtoopenthedialog.Thealarm
soundisthenautomaticallydisabled.To“restart”thealarm,clicktoenableUseAlarm
Sound.
Ifthedepthvalueissetto0,thealarmisdisabled.
Important
IfthebottomdetectorintheES70failstodetectthebottomwhenthedepthalarmis
enabled,orifthebottomdetectorisswitchedoff,thealarmwillbetriggeredindependent
ofthecurrentdepths.
Parameters

TheMinimumDepthAlarmallowsyoutosettheminimumdepthtotriggerthe
alarm.IftheES70detectsthatthecurrentdepthisshallower
thanthevalueyou
enteredhere,thealarmwillbeactivated.
Ifthedepthvalueissetto0,thealarmisdisabled.
