Simultaneoustransmissionofmorethanonehydrographicsystemcanonlytake
placeifthesystemsoperatewithdifferentfrequencies!
•Stand-alone
ThissynchronizationmodeisusediftheES70isworkingbyitself,andno
synchronizationisrequired.Thisisthedefaultsetting.
TheES70willoperateusingitsinternalpingintervalparameters,independentof
signalsarrivingatthesynchronizationport.
•Master
ThismodeisusediftheES70shallactasaMasterinasynchronizedsystem.
Theperipheralhydroacousticsystemwillthenonlybepermittedtotransmit
whenenabledbytheES70.
Whenthismodeischosen,theES70willrunusingitsinternalpinginterval
parameters,andtransmitexternaltriggersignalstotheperipheralsystem(s)on
thesynchronizationport.
•Slave
ThismodeisusediftheES70shalltransmitonlywhenpermittedbyaperipheral
system.
Whenthismodeischosen,theES70willwaitforanexternaltriggertoappearon
thesynchronizationport,beforeeachping.
2Synchronizationdelay
Thisdelayparameterisuseddifferentlydependingonthechosensynchronization
mode.
•Stand-alone:Notused.
•Slave:TheES70willwaitforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltriggersignalhas
arrivedbeforetransmittingtheping.(Post-trigger)
•Master:TheES70willwaitforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltriggersignal
hasbeensenttotheslavesbeforetransmittingtheping.(Pre-trigger)
Notethatthisdelaywillonlyworkwhenthesynchronizationissetupusing
aserialport.
