Purpose
ThepurposeoftheColourSetupdialogistocontrolthepresentationcoloursusedby
theES70.
Description
TheColourSetupdialogprovidestwo
elds.
•ThePaletteeldisusedtoselect
theoverallcolourthemeusedbythe
ES70presentation.
•TheEchogramColourseldallows
youtochoosehowmanycolours
touse,andwhichcolourscale.The
resultingcolourscanbeeseenintheColourScaleinformationpaneandintheStatus
BaratthebottomoftheES70presentation.

Whichcolourscaletouseismainlyapersonalpreferencebasedonambientlight
conditions,thenatureoftheechoesandexperience.Keepinmindthatinthebasicscale
with12colours,eachdiscretecolourrepresentsa3dBrangeofechosignalstrength.
Thisimpliesthatthenextcolourisselectedeverytimetheechostrengthisdoubled.
Ifyouchoosetouse64colours,theresolutionoftheES70presentationisgreatly
improved.Itistheneasiertodistinguishthedifferencebetweenthevariousechoesof
differentsizeand/ortargetstrength.

Tip
Bydefaultyouhave64or12coloursavailabletopresenttheechograms,andaselection
ofpalettes.ThecolourscalecanberetrievedanytimebyclickingtheColourScale
iconontheTitleBar.
