Description
YoucansetuptheES70torecordtheunprocessed
transducersignalsontheinternalharddisk,orother
recordablemedia.Thesereplaylesmaybekeptfor
futurereferences.
BymeansoftheReplayfunctionontheOperation
buttonyoucanlaterplaybacktherecordedleonthe
ES70.Thismayproveusefulifmoreadetailedstudyoftheechogramsisrequested.You
canalsousethelestoexperimentwiththeES70settingstogainmoreexperience.
TheRecordbuttonallowsyoutostartandstoprecording,splitthecurrentrecording
le(ifitgetstoolarge),andsetuptheleoutputparameters.Oncealltherecording
parametershavebeendened,youcanstartrecordingbyclickingtheredcircleonthe
button,andstopitbyclickingtheleftrectangle.
Note
Rawdataleswillnormallybecomeverylarge.Ifyouwishtorecordlargeamountsof
ES70rawdata,makesurethatyouhaveenoughspaceonyouharddisk.Unlessyour
computerisequippedwithaverylargediskcapacity,werecommendthatyousavethe
rawdatatoanexternalstoragedevice.
OntheES70,youcansavetheechogramsinthreedifferentways.
aBitmapimagesaresavedwheneveryouclicktheScreenCapturebuttononthe
TitleBar.TheseimagesarerecalledbymeansoftheScreenCapturebuttonon
theStatusbar.
bEchogramsequences(rawdata)arerecordedusingtheRecordfunctiononthe
Operationmenu.ThesesequencesareplayedbackbyplacingtheES70inReplay
mode.
cA“historyle”isrecordedautomaticallyandcontinuously.Whentheleisfull,it
willstarttooverwritetheoldestdata,thuscreatinga“ringbuffer”.Toplaybackthe
historyle,clicktheHistorybuttonontheTitleBar.
Parameters
1On/Off
Youcanusetheseoptionsonthebuttonmenutostartandstoprecording.
Forfastercontroloftherecording,youcanalsoclicktheredcircleontherightside
oftheRecordbuttontostartrecording.Tostoprecording,clicktheleftrectangle.
2SplitFile
Duringrecording,youcanclickthiscommandatregularintervals.Everytimeyou
doso,thecurrentrecordinglewillbeterminated,andanewlewillbestarted.In
thiswayyoucanmanuallycontrolthesizeofeachrecordedle.
3FileOutput
ThiscommandopenstheFileOutputdialog.Theparametersprovidedbythisdialog
allowsyoutocontrolthedatarecording.
