TheGainfunctionismadeavailablebyclickingtheGainbuttonontheMainmenu.
Purpose
ThepurposeoftheGainfunctionistoadjusttheecholevelintheechogrampresentations.
Description
Youcancomparethisgainsettingwiththevolume
controlonyourcarradio.Whenthegainisincreased,
theechoeswillappearstronger.Weakechoeswill
beeasiertosee.However,sinceyoualsoincreasethe
acousticnoiseinthereception,theechogramwillalso
showthis.Toomuchgainwillthus“distort”thepresentation.
Bydefault,thegainsettingappliesonlytothecurrentlyselectedechogram(identied
withathickborder).Severalechogramtypesareavailable,theseareselectedinthe
Echogramdialog.Ifyouwishtoadjustthegainonallsimilarechogramsinyourview,
clicktoselectApplytoall.
Tip
Whenyouopenthismenubutton,youwillonlybeabletoenteravalueifakeyboard
isconnectedtoyourES70.However,youcanclickthebutton,holdthemousebutton
depressed,andthenmovethemouse–andcursor–sideways.Thisallowsyoutochange
theparametervalue.Youcanalsoadjustthesettingbyclickingandholdingeitherthe
[+]or[-]buttons.
