ThesizedistributionispresentedusingtheSizeDistributioninformationpane.

TheSizeDistributioninformationpaneshowsahistogramofthesingleshechoes
detected.ThecalculationisbasedontheparametersyouhaveselectedintheCalculation
Intervaldialog;time,pingorachosenpartofthecurrentview.Itthusprovidesavisual
indicationonhowlargetheshesarewithinthechoseninterval.
Onlytheshesdetectedbythecurrenttransducerfrequencyareshown.
Thelargenumberabovethehistogramshowstheaveragesizeofalltheshesinthe
histogram.ThevalueispresentedintheunityouhavechosenintheUnitsdialog.For
anaccuratex-axisvalue,placethecursoronaverticalbarinthehistogram,andread
thevaluefromthelabel.
TheabbreviationTSiscommonlyused.Itmeans“TargetStrength”,andthisisa
measureofhowstrongechotheindividualshesinthecurrentechogramgenerate.
Theechostrengthindicatesthesizeoftheshes.TheSizeDistributioninformation
panethusprovidesamathematicalestimateofthesizesofallthechosenshspeciesin
theechogram.
