Themenusystem
ThemenusystemontheES70isbydefaultplacedon
therighthandsideofthedisplaypresentation.Youcan
howevereasilymovethemenutotheleftsideusing
theDisplayOptionsdialog,orhideitfromviewwith
theMenubuttonontheTitleBar.
Themainmenuisshort,andthesub-menusareopened
byclickingontheiconsundertheMainmenu.
TheselectionofoperationalparametersontheES70
isdoneusingatreestructurewithamainmenu,asetof
secondarymenus,andseveralmenubuttons.Someof
themenubuttonsopendialogsorminiaturemenusto
provideadditionalparameters.
TheMainmenuprovidestheparametersmostfrequentlyusedduringnormaloperation.
Belowthemainmenu,dedicatediconsare
usedtoopentheothermenus.Theseare(from
left):
aTheOperationmenucontrolsthemainoperationalparameters.
bTheDisplaymenucontrolsthevisualaspectsofthesystem,suchasparameters
relatedtothedisplaypresentation.
cTheSetupmenuallowsyoutocontrolthecongurationofthesignalprocessing,as
wellassysteminstallationandmaintenance,andtheinterfacestoperipheraldevices.
dTheActivemenuhasitscontentlinkedtothecurrentactiveitem(vieworobject).
Useittoaccessspecialfeaturesavailablefortheselectedvieworobject.
Themenubuttons
Eachmenucontainsseveralmenubuttons.Eachbuttonshowsthefunctionofthebutton,
someofthemalsodisplaythecurrentparametersetting.Themajorityofthebuttonsin
eachmenuprovideoneormoreofthesefunctions.
•Youcanincreaseanddecreaseparametervaluesbyclickingthe[+]and[–]elds
onthebutton.
•Youcanchangeparametervaluesbyclickingonthebutton,holdingthemouse
depressed,andthenmovingthecursorsideways.
•Youcanchangeparametervaluesbymeansofthescrollwheelonthemouseor
trackball.
•Youcanenterparametervaluesfromthekeyboard(ifyouhaveone).
•Youcanselectparametervaluefromthebutton'ssub-menu.
•Youcanopenadedicateddialog.
