Checkingthecolourscalesettings

Thisprocedureexplainshowyoucanchangethecolourscalecurrentlyusedforthe

ES70presentation.

Whichcolourscaletouseismainlyapersonalpreferencebasedonambientlight

conditions,thenatureoftheechoesandexperience.Keepinmindthatinthebasicscale

with12colours,eachdiscretecolourrepresentsa3dBrangeofechosignalstrength.

Thisimpliesthatthenextcolourisselectedeverytimetheechostrengthisdoubled.

Ifyouchoosetouse64colours,theresolutionoftheES70presentationisgreatly

improved.Itistheneasiertodistinguishthedifferencebetweenthevariousechoesof

differentsizeand/ortargetstrength.

1ClicktheColourScaleicon.

ThisiconislocatedontheTitleBar.ItisusedtoopentheColourScale

informationpane.

2Observethatthecurrentcolourscaleisshown.

Youcanlterouttheweakestechoesbymanuallymodifyingthecolourthreshold.

Bydefaultyouhave64or12coloursavailabletopresenttheechograms,anda

selectionofpalettes.Thecolourscalecanberetrievedanytimebyclickingthe

ColourScaleiconontheTitleBar.

ThecurrentlyselectedcolourscaleisalsoshownontheStatusBar.

WhichcolourscaletouseisdenedintheColourSetupdialogontheDisplaymenu.
