Buttontypes
Eachmenucontainsseveralmenubuttons.Eachbuttonshowsthefunctionofthebutton,
someofthemalsodisplaythecurrentparametersetting.Themajorityofthebuttonsin
eachmenuprovideoneormoreofthesefunctions.
•Youcanincreaseanddecreaseparametervaluesbyclickingthe[+]and[–]elds
onthebutton.
•Youcanchangeparametervaluesbyclickingonthebutton,holdingthemouse
depressed,andthenmovingthecursorsideways.
•Youcanchangeparametervaluesbymeansofthescrollwheelonthemouseor
trackball.
•Youcanenterparametervaluesfromthekeyboard(ifyouhaveone).
•Youcanselectparametervaluefromthebutton'ssub-menu.
•Youcanopenadedicateddialog.
Howtoselectanumericalparameterusingthe+/-buttons
1Movethecursortoeithersideofthebutton,and
observethatthebackgroundcolourchanges.
aClickontheleft
sideofthebuttontodecreasethenumericalvalue.
bClickontheright
sideofthebuttontoincreasethenumericalvalue.
Howtoselectanumericalparameterbymovingthecursorhorizontally
1Placethecursoronthemiddleofthebutton.
2Clickandholdtheleftmousebuttondepressed.
3Movethecursorhorizontally:lefttodecreasetheparametervalue,orrightto
increaseit.
4Releasethemousebuttonwhentherequestedvalueisshown.
Howtoselectanumericalparameterbymeansofthescrollwheel
1Placethecursoronthemiddleofthebutton.
2Spinthescrollwheelineitherdirectiontoincrease
ordecreasetheparametervalue.
3Releasethescrollwheelwhentherequestedvalueisshown.
Howtoselectanumericalparameterusingthekeyboard
1Clickthemiddlesectionofthebuttontoopena
texteld.
2Enterthenumericalvalueintothetexteld.
Ifthenumericalvalueexceedsthepermittedrange
fortheparameter,theframeinthetexteldwillbered.Youwillthennotbeable
toenterthevalue.
