•Whenevermaintenanceiscarriedout,itisessentialthatarstaidkitisavailable,

andthatthemaintenancepersonnelarefamiliarwiththerstaidinstructionsfor

electricalshock.

•Thevariouspartsofthesystemmaybeheavy.Makesurethattheappropriatetools

andcertiedliftingequipmentareavailable,andthatthepersonnelaretrainedin

installationandmaintenancework.

Generalsupplyconditions

ThefollowingsupplyconditionsareapplicabletothisSimradEK60delivery.

Equipmentresponsibility

Theshipyardperformingtheinstallationand/orequipmentdealerbecomesfully

responsiblefortheequipmentuponreceiptunlessotherwisestatedinthecontract.

Thedurationofresponsibilityincludes:

•Theperiodoftimetheequipmentisstoredlocallybeforeinstallation.

•Duringtheentireinstallationprocess.

•Whilecommissioningtheequipment.

•Theperiodoftimebetweencommissioningandthenalacceptanceoftheequipment

bytheenduser(normallytheownerofthevesselwhichtheequipmenthasbeen

installed).

Unlessotherarrangementshavebeenmadeinthecontract,theSimradEK60guarantee

period(asspeciedinthecontract)beginswhentheacceptancedocumentshavebeen

signed

Receipt,unpackingandstorage

Uponacceptingshipmentoftheequipment,theshipyardand/orthedealershouldensure

thatthedeliveryiscompleteandinspecteachshippingcontainerforevidenceofphysical

damage.Ifthisinspectionrevealsanyindicationofcrushing,dropping,immersionin

wateroranyotherformofdamage,therecipientshouldrequestthatarepresentative

fromthecompanyusedtotransporttheequipmentbepresentduringunpacking.

Allequipmentshouldbeinspectedforphysicaldamage,i.e.brokencontrolsand

indicators,dents,scratchesetc.duringunpacking.Ifanydamagetotheequipmentis

discovered,therecipientshouldnotifyboththetransportationcompanyandKongsberg

MaritimesothatKongsbergMaritimecanarrangeforreplacementorrepairofthe

damagedequipment.

Onceunpacked,theequipmentmustbestoredinacontrolledenvironmentwithan

atmospherefreeofcorrosiveagents,excessivehumidityortemperatureextremes.The

equipmentmustbecoveredtoprotectitfromdustandotherformsofcontamination

whenstored.
