•TheSimradEK60isexibleandeasytocongureduetoitsmodulardesign.
•Usermenus,dialogueboxesandsystemfunctionsaremanipulatedusingastandard
mouseorrollerball.Userinputisprovidedusingastandardkeyboard.
•Rawsampledataand/ordataforfurtherprocessingcanbestoredonthesystem’s
harddisk(orotherrecordablemedia).
•TheEK60displaypresentationhasbeendesignedwiththestandardMicrosoft

interfaceinmindandoperationistoalargeextentverysimilar.Getting
startedshouldberelativelysimpleforusersfamiliarwithMicrosoft

programswithbasicsystemoperationbeingintuitive.
•Thestore/replayfunctionreducestheneedforechogramprintoutonpaper.
Unprocessedtransducersignalsarerecordeddirectlytothesystem’sharddisk.During
replay,signalsareinputintotheechosoundersoftwareasifittheywherereceived
directlyfromatransceiver.
