Howtochooseanautomaticstartdepth

Thisprocedureexplainshowtoenableuseofthe

automaticstartdepthfunction.Thestartrangeis

controlledbytheStartRangebuttonontheMainmenu.

Note

TheAutomaticStartDepthfunctionwillonlyworkinsurfacerelatedechograms.

IfyousetRangeto20metersandenabletheAutomaticStartDepthfeature,

yourechogramwillalwaysbedrawntomakethebottomcontourappear

closetothebottomofyourechogrampresentation.Ifthewaterdepthexceeds

20meters,theES70willautomaticallymovethestartrangedown.Therange

iskept,butasthestartrangeismoved,thebottomcontourisstillvisible.

1ObservetheMainmenu.ItisnormallylocatedontherighthandsideoftheES70

presentation.

2ObservetheStartRangebutton.

3Clickthemiddleofthebuttontoopenit.

4ClicktoenableAutomaticStartDepth.

5Clickthemiddleofthebuttontocloseit.

TheverticalrangeiscontrolledbytheRangebutton

ontheMainmenu.

Inabottomechogram,settheStartRangevalueto–5meters.Thiswill

maketheechogramstartfrom5metersabovethebottom.SetRangetothe

5metersplus10=15meters.Theechogramwillnowshowtheareafrom

5metersabovethedepth,anddownto10meters“below”thebottom.The

bottomcontourwillappearasaatline.
