TheToolbuttonopenstheBottomDetectordialog.This
dialogisalsoavailablefromtheActivemenu.
ThepurposeoftheBottomDetectordialogisusedtodenetheupperandlowerdepth
limitsmostlikelytobeusedduringtheES70operation.Inthisdialog,youcanalso
modifythesettingforBottomBacksteptochangethebottomdetectionrelativetothe
bottomecho.

biomass.Thecalculationisbasedontheselectionyou
havemadeintheCalculationIntervaldialog;time,ping
orachosenpartofthecurrentview.Onlythebiomass
calculatedforthecurrenttransducerandfrequencyis
shown.
TheToolbuttonopenstheCalculationIntervaldialog.Thisdialogisalsoavailablefrom
theSetupmenu.
Notethatbiomassisanoptionalfunction.InordertoactivatetheBiomassinformation
pane,youmustobtainasoftwarelicence.
Youcanseebiomassinformationfromthreedifferentsources:
•UpperEchogram:Thisbiomassvalueiscalculatedfromtheshechoesfromthe
topechogramforthechosenchannel.
Bydefault,thisisasurfaceechogram.
•LowerEchogram:Thisbiomassvalueiscalculatedfromtheshechoesfromthe
bottomechogramforthechosenchannel.
Bydefault,thisisabottomechogram.
•Zoom:Thisbiomassvalueiscalculatedfromtheshechoesfromthecurrently
zoomedarea.
