Themenusystem
Thissectionprovidesashortintroductiontothemenusystem,andexplainsthebasic
useoftheES70menubuttons.

ThemenusystemontheES70isbydefaultplacedon
therighthandsideofthedisplaypresentation.Youcan
howevereasilymovethemenutotheleftsideusingthe
DisplayOptionsdialog,orhideitfromviewwiththeMenu
buttonontheTitleBar.
Themainmenuisshort,andthefoursub-menusare
openedbyclickingonthefouricons.
1TheMainmenuprovidestheparametersmost
frequentlyusedduringnormaloperation.
2TheOperationmenucontrolsthemainoperational
parameters.
3TheDisplaymenucontrolsthevisualaspectsofthe
system,suchasparametersrelatedtothedisplay
presentation.
4TheSetupmenuallowsyoutocontrolthe
congurationofthesignalprocessing,aswell
assysteminstallationandmaintenance,andthe
interfacestoperipheraldevices.
5TheActivemenuhasitscontentlinkedtothecurrent
activeitem(vieworobject).Useittoaccessspecial
featuresavailablefortheselecteditem.
Menubuttons
Eachmenucontainsseveralmenubuttons.Eachbuttonshowsthefunctionofthebutton,
someofthemalsodisplaythecurrentparametersetting.Themajorityofthebuttonsin
eachmenuprovideoneormoreofthesefunctions:
Youcanincreaseanddecreaseparametervaluesbyclickingthe[+]and[]elds
onthebutton.
Youcanchangeparametervaluesbyclickingonthebutton,holdingthemouse
depressed,andthenmovingthecursorsideways.
Youcanchangeparametervaluesbymeansofthescrollwheelonthemouseor
trackball.
Youcanenterparametervaluesfromthekeyboard(ifyouhaveone).
