TheGeneralPurposeTransceiver(GPT)contains
transmitterandreceiverelectronics.Thereceivers
aredesignedforlownoise,andtheycanhandleinput
signalsspanningaverylargeinstantaneousdynamic
amplituderange.Alltargetsarecorrectlymeasured
anddisplayed.
AtwistedpairEthernetcableconnectstheGeneral
PurposeTransceiver(GPT)totheProcessorUnit.The
distancebetweentheProcessorUnitandthetransceiver
canbeextendeduptomaximum70meters.Ifalongercableisrequired,cutitinhalf,
andinsertanEthernetswitchhalfwaytoprovidebufferamplication.
Ifmorethanonetransceiverisused,asmallEthernetswitchisrequiredtoconnectthe
GeneralPurposeTransceiverstotheProcessorUnit.
Externalpowersupply
Inordertoavoidelectricalnoise,certainGPTcongurationsaresuppliedwithan
externalpowersupply.Thissupplyismountedbymeansoftwobrackets.
Singlebeamtransducers
TheES70mustbeconnectedtooneormoretransducers.
Awiderangeofoperationalfrequenciesareavailable.

3.Thisistheminimumresolution.AswithallotherWindowsapplications,theES70softwarewillwork
withhigherresolutions,providedthatitissupportedbythegraphicadapterinthecomputerandthe
displayconnected.
