2.7.11 Configuration - TVG (Time Varying Gain)
The Time Varying Gain (TVG) is a control that allows
the EQ 55 to make corrections for most of the losses
and absorption that occurs as sound energy passes
through sea water.
Each channel has its own TVG adjustment. Generally
speaking, if you are searching for small targets or are
looking for the best picture of the bottom at great
depths, use "FISH" (40logR).
If you are observing large schools of fish or have
excessive noise on the display screen, try the
"BOTTOM" (20logR) setting.
