Simrad Echo sounder transducers
Steel hull
A fairing (A), made by the shipyard, is placed between the
transducer and t he hull. It is required in order to adapt for the
deadrise angle of the hull, and it w ill also house a cable service
loop (B). The fairing can be made of wood or steel, and should
have the same outline dimensions as the transducer. Remember
to create an air outlet (E) on the fairing, and to ll the bolt holes
with a lling compound to ensure a smooth transducer surface.
