Usemountingandclampingringswheneverprovided
Circulartransducersmaybeprovidedwithmountingandclampingrings,orwith
drawingstoallowforlocalproductionofthese.Themountingringisweldedtothe
holeinthetowedarray,whiletheclampingringtsaroundtheedgeofthetransducer
body.Boltsthroughtheclampingringintothemountingringwillthensecurethe
transducerbetweenthem.Notethatallsplit-beamtransducersusedirectionguidesto
allowcorrectmounting.
Smoothsurfaceisimportant
Mountingscrewsorboltsmustnotbeextrudingfromthevehicle.Ensurethatthesurface
ofthetransducerface,thevehicle,thevehicleplatingandputtyaroundthetransducer
isasevenandsmoothaspossible.Obstructionsonthesesurfaceswillcreateproblems
withthewaterow.
