Ifthevessel’shullisatyoudonotneedafairing.Thetransduceristhenbebolted
directlytothehullusingtwobronzeorstainlesssteelbolts(I)andacablebushing.Note
thatthecablebushingmustbemountedwithpropergaskets(4)underandoverthehull,
aswellassealingcompound(J)arounditsbody.Also,lltheboltholeswithalling
compoundtoensureasmoothtransducersurface.

Withatransducerwithcircularhousing,onerecommendedinstallationmethodisby
usingablister.Thetransducerblistermustbedesignedandmanufacturedbythe
installationshipyardtotthevessel’ssizeandhullshape.
Usemountingandclampingringswheneverprovided
Circulartransducersmaybeprovidedwithmountingandclampingrings,orwith
drawingstoallowforlocalproductionofthese.Themountingringisweldedtothe
holepreparedforthetransducer,whiletheclampingringtsaroundtheedgeofthe
transducerbody.Boltsthroughtheclampingringintothemountingringwillsecurethe
transducerbetweenthem.Notethatseveraltransducersusedirectionguidestoallow
correctmounting.
