7!4%2 3!6).' 4%#(./,/'9 If you have previously used a top load agitator type WASHER YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT YOUR NEW WASHER works differently. This washer uses much less water per load of washing, and does it by the two new technologies described below. 2ECIRCULATION In most wash and deep rinses the recirculation system is active and a recirculation pump runs to keep water at a low level in the outer bowl, and at a correct level in the washbowl. Recirculation saves 33% of wash and deep rinse water.
+./7).' 9/52 7!3().' -!#().% Draining the wash and deep rinse water At the end of the wash and deep rinse stages, the recirculation pump will stop. There will be a delay to allow water to flow through washbowl drain holes into the outer bowl. After the delay, the drain pump will start pumping water out through the drain hose and then the pump will stop.
7!3().' ).3425#4)/.3 /UT OF BALANCE INTERRUPTION The washing machine can stop during rinse and spin stages of a wash because of an out of balance condition. To let you know an out of balance interruption has happened, models 955 & 605 will show ‘ ’ in the digital display and for the other models all WATER TEMP lights will be flashing. If an out of balance occurs, the machine may stop spinning and then start spinning again to try and overcome the out of balance before alerting you with ‘beeping’.

Mix detergent in one litre of hot or warm water. 3. Add the pre-mixed detergent to the wash load. !DDING BLEACH "LEACHING OF CLOTHES CAN HELP TO REMOVE STAINS HEAVY SOILING AND to kill bacteria. /XYGEN TYPE This is generally a powder type bleach.
Starting your washing machine If the settings shown on the control panel are what you want to use and the Program SELECTOR is set to the correct wash program for your clothes load, press the START/PAUSE button to start your wash. To select a different program or change other settings, read the following instructions Choose the wash program Turn the Program SELECTOR knob to choose the wash program you want. The table “YOUR Program GUIDE” shown below will help you in selecting the right program.

If you want to use a different wash water temperature, press the WATER TEMP button repeatedly.The water temp lights will tell you the temperature for each press of the button.
5SING YOUR 7ASHING -ACHINE !UTO ,EVEL WATER LEVEL Using the Auto-Level water level option ensures just the right amount of water is used for the wash load. (Note: You can select a water level manually if you wish. See ‘Manual water level’ below). To select Auto-Level water fill, turn the WATER LEVEL knob to the Auto-Level position. When you start your wash, the machine will conduct a series of water fill and short agitations to determine the amount of water needed.
FEATURES OF YOUR WASHING MACHINE Additional features on your washing machine are described in this section. The display will also show codes for your information and guidance. (See below) Models with Digital Display The digital display will show the time in minutes (or hours and minutes) to complete the wash program. Information and guidance feature The washing machine will give you information by displaying codes in the Digital Display or by using the control panel lights and the ‘beeping’ function.
&EATURES OF YOUR 7ASHING -ACHINE 0ROGRESS INDICATOR ADVANCING THE WASH The washing machine has WASH, RINSE and SPIN Progress Indicator lights to let you know where the machine currently is within the wash program. You can advance to the next stage of the wash by holding the START/PAUSE button depressed until the next stage progress light comes on. Press the START/PAUSE button to store the setting you have chosen. 2INSE OPTIONS ECO and DEEP are the rinse options available to you on these models.
CARING FOR YOUR WASHING MACHINE Your washing machine will give you long and trouble-free service, if you follow the instructions in this section.These instructions show you how to care for your washing machine. 2. Unclip the filter bag from the column. 3. 4. Turn the bag inside out and remove the lint. Wash the filter bag and dispenser cup in hot water. 5. Caring for your Washing Machine How to replace the lid 1. Hold the lid in a vertical position. 2. Put the left hand hinge into the hinge hole of the top panel. 3. Put the right hand hinge into the hinge slot and close the lid.
+ELPFUL +,NTS ,N DEA/,NG :,T+ WAS+,NG PROBLEMS r esidues on washed items Some detergents have ingredients which do not fully dissolve and as a consequence, may leave white residue or particles evident on the surface of darker clothes in the finished wash load. Similarly some soils may not dissolve fully, resulting in residue evident on lighter coloured clothes. If you are experiencing residue on some clothes, the following tips will help: Check that recirculation filter is clean.
