Section 2 Installation
2.3.4.2.2 Top Entry
The top entrance for the AC power cable is a circular opening, located on the rear-right

routing the cable directly to a sidewall exit just above the circuit breaker CB1 terminals
in the power supply section of the DAX transmitter.
STEP 1 To improve access to CB1, perform steps in section "2.3.4.2.1 PS
Chassis Access" above
STEP 2 Feed AC Power Cable down through entry opening
STEP 3 Pull cable into cabinet from channel exit opening
STEP 4 Remove cover over CB1 by removing 2 screws and sliding cover toward
right
STEP 5 Attach Power Cable wires to CB1 top terminals as follows (see Figure 2-
6 below):
HV (black) to terminal closest to sidewall
LV (red) to middle terminal
Common (white) to terminal farthest from sidewall
Ground (green) to E1 stud (on sidewall just below CB1) for safety
ground
STEP 6 Replace CB1 cover
2.3.4.2.3 Bottom Entry
The AC power cable may also be routed up from underneath the DAX via a circular
hole in the floor of the transmitter. This hole is located just behind (as viewed from the
rear of the DAX) the ground strap system and E10 Safety Ground block. See Figure 2-6
on page 2-15 for reference.
STEP 1 To improve access to CB1, perform steps in section "2.3.4.2.1 PS
Chassis Access" above
STEP 2 Feed AC Power Cable up through bottom entry opening
STEP 3 Route cable into power supply chassis via square slot below CB1 (see
Figure 2-3 on page 2-9 above)
STEP 4 Remove cover over CB1 by removing 2 screws and sliding cover toward
