Viewing Scan Results
Using the Toolbar Buttons to Adjust the Image
UsetheiconsontheImagetoolbarforthefollowingfunctions:
Panning an Image
WhenyouareviewinganimagethatislargerthantheImagewindow,youcanpanto
showundisplayedareas.
1 Left‐clickandholdontheimage.Thecursorchanges toaclosedhand.
2 Dragtheimageinthedirectionyouwanttomovetheimageandawayfromthearea
youwanttoview,asifyouweremovingapieceofpaperunderaviewer.
Zooming In and Out
InadditiontothezoombuttonsontheImagetoolbar,youcanusethescrollwheelonthe
mousetozoominoroutonanimage.

AutoContrast—Resetstheimagecontrast,brightness,pixels,and
colorratiotodefaultsettings.
AutoZoom—Adjuststhezoomontheimagesothatthefullsw ath
isvisibleintheImagewindow.
ZoomIn—ZoomsinontheimageintheImagewindow,sothe
imagegets
larger.
ZoomOut—ZoomsoutontheimageintheImagewindow,sothe
imagegetssmaller.
CopytoClipboard—Copiesthecurrentviewoftheimageinthe
Imagewindowtotheclipboardsoitcanbepastedintoanother
program.
OverlayCores—Allowsyoutoconfirmtheregistrationofa
specific
RedorGreenimage.WhenOverla yCoresisselected,the
positionofaparticularbeadmicrowell(core)asdeterminedinthe
beadmapfile(*.dmap)isrepresentedasabluecircleovertopof
theimage.Whenregistrationissuccessful,theintensityfor
individualbeadsliesinsidetheregioncov eredbythe
core andthe
overallpatternofcoresisconsistentwiththepatternofbead
intensitiesontheimage:thatis,thecoresoverlayonthe
individualbeadswithaveryclosefit.Whenregistrationfails,the
coresdonotoverlayandtheBeadChipshouldberescanned.
ShowGreenandRedChannels
—Togglestoshowonlythegreen
channel,onlytheredchannel,orbothchannelsintheImage
windowforthescannedsection.

YoucanalsousethescrollbarsonthebottomandrightsideoftheImage
windowtoshifttheviewofthestripebeingexamined.
