Hard Drive Configuration
TheiScanSystemcontainstwopermanentdrives(C:andD:)onthecomputerandone
removabledrive(H:)withintheiScanReader.
DrivesC:andD:arephysicallyseparatedrives;theyarenotpartofonelargedrive
partitionedintotwo.
iScan Control Software
TheiScanControlSoftware(ICS)allowsyoutocontroltheiScanReaderwhenscanning
BeadChips.
ICSincludesa graphicaluserinterfacefor:

before*.idatfilesarecreatedforasample.DriveD:isabout
500GBand
isintendedtostorescandataloca lly.Ithasasinglepartitionforthe
entiredrive.
DriveH: TheiScanReaderhousesaremovabledriveH:thatcontainsareader‐
specificconfigurationfile.Thisfilekeepsreader‐specificinformation
withtheiScanReader,incasethecomputerfails.
WARNING
DonotdisconnectorformatdriveH:.Allreader‐specificinformation
willbelost,requiringanIlluminafieldserviceengineertoreinstall
andreconfiguretheiScanSystem.
