Installation at a Glance
After you are familiar with the detailed software installation procedures described in
Chapter 2, you can use one of the following summaries as a quick reference for a default
installation. Section A.1 describes a UNIX installation, Section A.2 describes a VMS
installations, and Section A.3 describes a Windows NT installation. If you need more
information on any of the summary steps, see the page number reference shown in
italics.
Note
These procedures assume that your computer is configured as a
boot server, described in Section 2.1 on page 32. This allows you to
perform all operations from this computer.
