Note: This does not delete the players to which the player
units were assigned; they can be reassigned to player units
at the end of this process.
Sync Alert Monitors from all affected teams when prompted.
Power down all deleted Player Units that will not be
reassigned within 24 hours to conserve battery life (see
Controls and Indicators, p.19).
2) After syncing all affected Alert Monitors, add the reconditioned
Player Units to their new teams (see Player Unit Setup, steps 1)
through 3), p.35).
3) After being added to their teams, the reconditioned Player Units can
be assigned to players as usual (see Player Setup steps 2) through
4), p.41).
Note: All affected equipment (Player Units and Alert Monitors) should be
synced and checked in before play.
This process will need to be done each season for every reconditioned Player
Unit. Following this procedure ensures that the reconditioned Player Units
behave the same as brand new ones.
SOFTWARE AND FIRMWARE UPDATES
When the computer is connected to an active internet connection, InSite
Player Management software will automatically check for updates upon
startup, both for InSite Player Management software, and for firmware
for Alert Monitors and Player Units. When updates are available, the
updates will download automatically as a background process. When
download is complete, the user will be prompted through the update
wizards - first for software, then for Alert Monitor firmware, and finally for
Player Unit firmware.
