Features
With the Martian App:
• You will automatically be able to:
o Receive text message notifications on your Watch, even if your cell phone doesn’t
have a Bluetooth MAP profile.
o View Martian battery life icon on your phone
o Enable Text-to-Speech so incoming notifications from the listed apps will be read
to you verbally as they come in
• Choose which notifications you wish to receive on your M ARTIAN W ATCH :
o Facebook notifications
o Twitter mentions
o Today’s weather forecast for your area
o Gmail notification of unread emails
o Calendar
o Hotmail
o Yahoo! Mail
o Sina Weibo
Downloading the App
Android: Visit the Google Play Store on your phone and search “M ARTIAN W ATCH A LERTS ”.
Download per store instructions.
iPhone: Visit the App Store on your phone and search “M ARTIAN W ATCH A LERTS ”. Download per
store instructions. (coming soon)
Using the App
Android: After downloading the M ARTIAN W ATCH A LERTS App to your phone, you will find it in
your Applications folder. Tap on the icon to open it.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: After the M ARTIAN W ATCH A LERTS App has finished downloading to
your device, it will appear on your desktop. Tap on the icon to open it.
Once the App is open, it will check to make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth connection is on –
if not, it will instruct you to turn on your Bluetooth (if needed, see “Turning On and Pairing”
section to locate this on your phone).
You will then be asked to enter your Facebook User Name and Password to access notifications.
To accept, enter the information and submit. To decline, press the “back” button on your phone.
You will receive the same request for Twitter “mention” notifications. To accept, enter the
