Spark plug
• Thesparkplugshouldbecheckedregularly.
• Toaccessthesparkplug,undotheretainingscrewonthetopofthe
chainsaw body, and remove the cover. The spark plug can now be
removed using the spanner supplied.
• Theelectrodegapshouldbesetto0.65mm.
• Iftheplugappearstobefouled,orburnt,theengineisnotrunning
properly. Check for correct fuel mixture, and proper engine adjustment.
• Iftheelectrodeisheavilypitted,oreroded,replacethesparkplugwitha
new one of the same type.
• Alwaystightensparkplugproperlybeforeuse.
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal
parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life.
• Thechainandcuttingbarshouldberegularlyremovedtoallowproper
cleaning of the chain oil feed ports.
• Cleanthebodyofyourmachinewithaclothanddetergent.
• Thefueltankcontainsalterthatshouldberegularlycleanedwithfresh
petrol.
• Theairltershouldberemovedandcleanedregularly.Toaccess
the filter, undo the retaining screw on the top of the chainsaw body,
and remove the cover. The air filter element should be cleaned using
household detergent, dried, and re-oiled with regular machine oil.
Reassemble before using the chainsaw.
Storage
• Allowthechainsawtocoolfullybeforepreparingforstorage.
• Drainoutallfuelandoil.
• Ifthechainsawistobestoredforanextendedperiod,wipeoverallmetal
surfaces with an oiled cloth. Remove the spark plug, and pour a small
amount of oil into the cylinder. Replace spark plug, and pull the starting
handle to distribute oil.
• Storethechainsawinaclean,dry,placeawayfromheatanddirect
sunlight. Ensure that the chainsaw is stored where children cannot get
access to it.
