Before first use
1) Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
2) Check whether the filter holder 1and the HEPA filter 6 are firmly installed
in the dirt container %. They may have worked loose during transport.
To insert the filter holder 1and the HEPA filter 6into the dirt container %,
proceed as follows:
– The filter holder 1can only be fitted in the dirt container %in one
position. The side labelled "UP" must be facing upwards. Push the
filter holder 1 as far as possible into the dirt container %. Make sure
that the filter holder 1 is straight and that the rubber lip seals the dirt
container %.
– Insert the HEPA filter 6into the filter holder 1so that the catches
on the HEPA filter 6fit into the corresponding recesses on the filter
holder1. The arrow on the HEPA filter 6must be aligned with the
arrow on the filter holder 1. Turn the HEPA filter 6clockwise towards
the
symbol.
3) Place the dirt container % on the motor unit .:
– First, place the contacts on the underside of the dirt container %onto the
contact pins on the underside of the motor unit .. This pushes the two
catches on the motor unit . into the recesses on the dirt container %.
– Press the upper side of the dirt container %against the upper side of the
motor unit . so that the catch audibly engages. The dirt container% is
now firmly seated on the motor unit ..
Information about the batteries
■ The appliance runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Before using the
appliance for the first time, the batteries must be charged. The charge indi-
cator lamp 3 flashes red during charging. As soon as the batteries are fully
charged, the charge indicator lamp 3 lights up green.
■ If the charge indicator lamp 3flashes alternately green and red, the
batteries are fully discharged and the appliance will switch off after around
1 minute.
