Before first use
1) Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
2) Check whether the filter holder 1and the HEPA filter 6 are firmly installed
in the dirt container %. They may have worked loose during transport.
To insert the filter holder 1and the HEPA filter 6into the dirt container %,
proceed as follows:
– The filter holder 1can only be fitted in the dirt container %in one
position. The side labelled "UP" must be facing upwards. Push the
filter holder 1 as far as possible into the dirt container %. Make sure
that the filter holder 1 is straight and that the rubber lip seals the dirt
container %.
– Insert the HEPA filter 6into the filter holder 1so that the catches
on the HEPA filter 6fit into the corresponding recesses on the filter
holder1. The arrow on the HEPA filter 6must be aligned with the
arrow on the filter holder 1. Turn the HEPA filter 6clockwise towards
the
symbol.
3) Place the dirt container % on the motor unit .:
– First, place the contacts on the underside of the dirt container %onto the
contact pins on the underside of the motor unit .. This pushes the two
catches on the motor unit . into the recesses on the dirt container %.
– Press the upper side of the dirt container %against the upper side of the
motor unit . so that the catch audibly engages. The dirt container% is
now firmly seated on the motor unit ..
Information about the batteries
■ The appliance runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Before using the
appliance for the first time, the batteries must be charged. The charge indi-
cator lamp 3 flashes red during charging. As soon as the batteries are fully
charged, the charge indicator lamp 3 lights up green.
■ If the charge indicator lamp 3flashes alternately green and red, the
batteries are fully discharged and the appliance will switch off after around
1 minute.
