You can choose either Lt/Rt (mixed mono) or stereo.
Dolby Digital Setup

The following options are available: Stereo, L-Mono (the left channel on both
speakers), R-Mono (the right channel on both speakers) and Mix-mono (both
channels combined on both speakers).

You can set the audio signal’s dynamic range to your personal preference here.
