Requirements
The Silver Spring Network meter network interface card (NIC) is REQUIRED to be
professionally installed by a properly trained technician. Improper installation could void
the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS
standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
The antenna of this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any
other antenna or transmitter.
The device should be installed so that people will not come within the specified distance of
the antenna as listed below.
US installations: The device should be installed so that people will not come within 20
cm (8 in.) of the antenna.
Canada installations (IC): The device should be installed so that people will not come
within 29 cm (11.4 in.) of the antenna.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance
could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
