MAINTENANCE
12.1 INTRODUCTION
The Shugart
706/712
has been designed to require no maintenance under normal operating conditions. This sec·
tion
will
discuss those steps to
be
taken in the event of a .drive malfunction.
12.2
MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT
The only equipment required ls an ADC T-650 Tester
and
an oscilloscope. Refer to paragraph 9.2.3. for
ADC
test
procedure.
12.3
DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES
The

are
eqUipped with a self-exerciser that supplements any diagnostic requirements.
12.4
TEST POINT LOCATIONS
Although test points are evident
on
the PCB. these are used
for
testing during the manufacturing operations.
No
testing is reqUired of the
end
user.
