Silent Call Communications
3.9 FA3-MC INSTALLATION:
Please contact a licensed fire alarm installer for installation and working with this product. Improper installation can damage
your fire alarm and/or prevent proper operation of the fire alarm. Technical support is available at (800) 572-5227.
The FA3-MC is designed to interface with a dry contact output. It will transmit as long as the contact is closed and will stop
transmitting when the contact opens.
1. Do not mount inside of the alarm panel box! The metal of the box will detune the transmitter.
2. Connect Red and Black wire Spade terminals to Open/Unused Form A /Form C relay contacts. Contact closure activates
transmitter. Damage to Transmitter will occur if connected to any voltage source

3.10 FA3-MC OPERATION:
1. The FA3-MC will transmit as long as the Red and Black wire spade terminals are connected. When the activating contacts
are closed, the Red LED on the face of the transmitter will light up. The transmitter will then send a signal to any Silent Call
Medallion Series Receiver activating the receiver.
2. FA3-MC will stop transmitting when Alarm is reset and alarm contacts are opened.

3.11 FA41-MC INSTALLATION:
Please contact a licensed fire alarm installer for installation and working with this product. Improper installation can damage
your fire alarm and/or prevent proper operation of the fire alarm. Technical support is available at (800) 572-5227.
The FA41-MC is designed to interface with a voltage input. It will transmit as long as the voltage is positive and will stop
transmitting when the voltage reverses polarity or ceases.
1. Do not attach inside of the alarm panel box! The metal of the box will detune the transmitter.
2. Connect Red and Black wire Spade terminals to Alarm Panel NAC Circuit or circuit with a positive voltage for alert.
3. Alert Voltage 12VDC to 24VDC.

3.12 FA41-MC OPERATION:
1. The FA41-MC will transmit as long as positive polarity voltage is applied to the Red and Black wire spade terminals. When
positive voltage is present, the Red LED on the face of the transmitter will light up. The transmitter will then send a signal to
any Silent Call Medallion Series Receiver activating the receiver.
2. FA41-MC will stop transmitting when Alarm is reset and positive polarity is reversed or voltage is removed.

The FA3-MC in conjunction with a Silent Call Medallion Series receiver is considered an
Supplementary Visible Notification Appliance.
The FA41-MC in conjunction with a Silent Call Medallion Series receiver is considered an
Supplementary Visible Notification Appliance.
